NEXTBODY MCP

How NEXTBODY MCP connects health data to ChatGPT and Claude

All notes

A technical note on what the product site already says about MCP: who can connect, what they can read, and what they must not be used for.

HOOP is a screenless smart health band (8mm thin, 10g without the strap). The NEXTBODY App is where you read heart rate, sleep staging, training load and a 14-metric Body Scan. MCP is the optional bridge from that account to a third-party assistant.

What MCP does

NEXTBODY MCP is not a public dump of everyone's data. Connecting a third-party AI assistant requires your own sign-in and authorisation. The assistant can only read data under your account.

Supported assistants named on the site today are ChatGPT, Claude, Grok Bot and Muse. Names are used to describe compatibility. They do not imply a partnership or endorsement, and the list may change with what the App actually supports.

Meal logging stays off until you turn it on

Meal logging is off by default. After you turn it on, you can log a meal in one sentence. The assistant confirms the food, portion and time with you before saving. Calories, protein, carbs and fat are estimated from that description — not weighed or lab-tested — and daily targets are general guidance, not a nutrition prescription.

What sits behind the connection

MCP reads the same wellness record the App already shows. The band is screenless; the App is the display. Claims below are the ones already published on nextbody.ai.

Limits, privacy and tone

Once data is sent to a third-party AI service, that service's privacy policy applies, so decide for yourself before connecting. The assistant's analysis and advice are for reference only — not medical, nutrition or training prescriptions. HOOP and the NEXTBODY App are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you feel unwell, see a doctor.

From the product FAQ

Is connecting ChatGPT, Claude or other AI (MCP) safe?

You sign in and authorise it yourself, and the assistant can only read your own account's data. Meal logging is off by default; when on, the AI confirms the food, portion and time with you before saving. Once data is sent to a third-party AI service, that service's privacy policy applies, so decide for yourself. The assistant's analysis and advice are for reference only, not medical, nutrition or training prescriptions.

Is HOOP a medical device?

No. Neither the HOOP band nor the NEXTBODY App is a medical device, and neither is meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Heart rate, SpO2, HRV, skin temperature, sleep, body composition, readiness, training load and related tips are for everyday wellness only, not medical decisions. If you feel unwell, see a doctor.

How accurate are food calories and macros?

Calories, protein, carbs and fat are estimated from the food type and portion you describe, not weighed or lab-tested, so they may differ from what you actually ate. Daily targets are general guidance, not a nutrition prescription. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic condition or special dietary needs, follow your doctor's advice.

This note restates published product-site copy. Phone screens on the marketing pages are real App screenshots with demo data; features follow the actual App and may change. Third-party names belong to their owners.
